The castle was restored and transformed into a hotel in 1951, respecting its historical heritage and the needs of modern comfort. The highlights are two Manueline style windows and a battered wicker doorway, adorned with twisted trunks and surmounted by the royal shield and coat of arms of the Noronhas.
The rooms’ decor is classic and elegant with touches of Medieval style present in the stone walls, canopy beds and fireplaces, creating a unique ambiance resembling royal times of princes and princesses.
